The meeting occurred on 30th June, 2014. During the meeting a representative of the Ministry of Welfare, Senior Expert Gundars Ignats, provided information of current policy development process and collaboration with partners.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting M.Moors had opportunity to express comments about involvement and co-operation forms which are essential in order to solve an important industry issues. These comments were related to the policy documents planning, normative regulation drafts processing, social work problems updating and social service development.<\/p>\n<p>Latvia has begun the process of accession into the OECD, therefore experts of this organization have started to prepare the assessment of Latvia\u2019s compliance with the OECD principles of operation and good practice.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, more than 20 assessments have been made in different areas, including health care, social policy, political economy etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The SWA Board Chairman, Martins Moors, at the invitation of the Ministry of Welfare, met the OECD expert &#8211; political analyst Arthur Mickoleit.
