From August 8 to 10, the Latvian Association of Social Workers held its annual summer camp \u201cCreative Expression and Sensory Interaction: Effective Methods in Social Worker Practice\u201d at Skanga\u013ci Manor. Over the course of three days, participants learned about the role of a family support person, occupational therapist, and art therapist in the practice of social work specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the camp, participants gained valuable knowledge about providing holistic support to clients, the importance of sensory information processing, and methods of art therapy. A special highlight was a musical conversation with musician and social services developer Kaspars Mark\u0161evics. The event also included discussions about the association\u2019s future plans, including the upcoming autumn conference, scheduled for November 14 this year, tentatively focusing on social work in social care, including the topic of dementia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  At the conclusion of the camp, the participants expressed the following evaluation of the event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
